One of the most fascinating things about wine is how it is a living entity, always changing and differing everytime. You can also be sure, that what is one person’s nectar is another person’s poison, as there are so many choices. Wine JEMS offers some novel entertainment in wine quizzes and tastings.

Wine Quizzes
Wine JEMS offer an informative, wine tasting evening, using a fun, quiz format. It makes an excellent “ice breaker“ for new parents, an innovative thank you to staff at the end of term or just a great excuse to get together in support of the school and to raise funds. Julian has done many quizzes in schools, rotary clubs and businesses and found they are great mixers and can be also good for networking in an informal atmosphere.
The event costs starts from £9.50/head, in your own venue and are suitable for a minimum of 20 people and consist of the following:
· A tasting of 10 wines , six of them blind.
· A brief and amusing talk on what to look for in red and white wine.
· A specially devised wine quiz, incorporating general knowledge, a small amount of tasting ability and guesswork!
· Small wine prizes for winners and/or losers of the quiz.
· Tasting glasses, spittoons, ice buckets and quiz sheets are all supplied.
Quizzes can be devised with specific themes in mind, such as white wines, specific grape varieties or countries.

Testimonials
' Thank you for all your help and hard work in running the charity wine tasting event in aid of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home a couple of weeks ago. The evening was an enormous success, undoubtedly attributable to your excellent organisation and wines. Everyone was most impressed by the way in which the evening ran and thoroughly enjoyed themselves as well as learning a thing or two!
.....Thank you again for organising the evening so brilliantly. I fully appreciate the part you played in helping us raise such a great amount.' November 2005, Neptune Investment Management.
Wine Tastings
Julian can do wine tastings with specific themes, depending on the type of event, the venue and the budget. These can be as formal or informal as one likes, bearing in mind the wine knowledge of the people at the event, they can also be a one off tasting or a series.
Ideas for wine tastings:
· Wine Tasting for beginners- How to taste wines
· Vertical Tastings (same wine- but different vintage) ie Ch. Musar 1970 – 2000 vintages
· Horizontal Tastings (different wines- same vintage) ie Bordeaux 2000 vintage.
· Specific grape tasting – same grape (ie Pinot Noir and Charonnay) and how it differs around the world.
· Same region tasting – Showing the diversity throughout a region ie Australia’s Margaret River or the Cape’s Constantia.
· Price Tasting- Tasting wines in relation to price ie – Wines for under £6 or red wines between £7-£10.
· Blind Tastings – Competitive tastings against other teams to determine the wines.
All tastings or wine ideas can be catered for please contact us to discuss this further.
